Copa America 2007 Group Draw

Copa America 2007 starts 26 June with hosts Venezuela versus Bolivia.

Holders Brazil face Mexico the next day, the 27th, and Argentina open against the United States on the 28th.

The top two teams in each group will advance, as do the two best third-place teams.

The Final will be held 15 July in Maracaibo.

The draw took place on Tuesday, 13 February as directors of CONMEBOL met in Caracas.

Among the other topics:

-The Copa America will now be contested every four years unless "conditions were to exist so that an extraordinary Copa America can be played."

-Preliminary qualifying rounds for World Cup 2010 must be played in all-seater stadiums.
